Mash Up Monday (11)
For this little series, I descend into the realms of my hard drive and post some old random stuff…
Since I’m interested in sepulchral culture, I simply had to see the Arlington National Cemetery during my sojourn in Washington D.C. in March 2012. Despite having some very personal issues with the glorification of military, it was a very long but rewarding trip full of strong impressions.
"Rest in Peace."
I hopped off the L in Chicago at a random stop to visit this graveyard. It was incredibly spooky, with the wind pelting my face and picking up the leaves, flurrying them around like a ghost along the gravestones.
Mount Auburn Cemetery, Watertown, MA
These were my 10 favorite photos out of the hundred of so that I took while visiting back in October.

I can’t get my images to look good on tumblr, I’ve tried a bunch of different themes and whatnot but they always come out all moire-y and fuzzy… but oh well! Check out a bigger pic on my blog
I used some reference for the statues, most from Pere Lachaise cemetary in Paris.
I’ll be picking someone for a free print later on!
